About the Owner
Hi! My name is Laura Kalantaridis and I’m excited to help provide loving care to cats and other little critters in the Delaware County area. I fell in love with animals at a very young age and it has bloomed into my passion as an adult. I have worked in the animal care industry for over 20 years in many different roles and I couldn’t imagine living my life in any other way.

Kritter Kids Pet Sitting
I ran Kritter Kids Pet Sitting, a full-service pet sitting business, for 10 years until the pandemic. Many people didn’t need a pet sitter during that time, and I decided to take a step back from running a full business and dedicate my time to a handful of clients and getting back to volunteering at animal rescues by fostering kittens that needed a safe place to stay.
During my time working and volunteering at shelters and rescues, I’ve noticed that many people have a false perception of cats and lack the knowledge and understanding to give them a happy healthy environment to thrive. Cats are thought of as independent and aloof and able to fend for themselves and sometimes have behaviors that are hard to understand. This leads to many unwanted and homeless cats.
Fostering cats and kittens
Fostering cats and kittens until they find their forever homes has brought such fulfillment and joy to my life. Saving them from difficult situations, witnessing their transformations, and placing them in loving homes has been a deeply rewarding experience. I’ve stayed in touch with many of the families that have adopted my foster cats and have continued to help care for them in their new homes. This led me to want to reopen my business, but to focus on my feline and small animal friends and that is how The Cat’s Pajamas was born! I hope to be able to share my passion and knowledge with cat parents all around Delaware County. I look forward to meeting you!
